SharePoint 2013 installation Error

with one comment

After installing SharePoint 2013 Preview, when i ran the wizard, it failed at step 2 with below error message:

UPDATE: (04-August-2012)

Today i installed Active Directory on a different server and created a new user account.

Joined my newly created SharePoint 2013 to the domain.

Made the new user account as local administrator on the SharePoint 2013 machine

Logged into the machine using the new account.

Ran the SharePoint Configuration wizard and WOW!!!!!

It get passed step 2 of installation error while creating configuration database:

deleted the existing database from SQL

  1. I already got passed the config DB issue by using a active directory account to run the wizard.

    i am now checking the issue while creating the sample database at step 8 of 10 in the wizard and found that the farm admin account i used to install sharepoint does not show up in the SQL instance.

    Will update you later..
