Unable to create new SSP in the farm

ISSUE:

Unable to create new SSP in the farm, getting error message “Provisioning failed: user cannot be found”

RESOLUTION:

===========

–          Logged to SharePoint server

–          Opened Central administration site

–          Clicked ok Application management>>site collection administrator

–          Checked site collection administrator for every web application and got site administrator for central administrator  who is no more in use and removed from AD

–          Provided site administrator as your account and clicked ok.

–          Deleted the failed SSP

–          Clicked Shared Service administration and  clicked ok New SSP to create new SSP with existing new web applications.

–          Now SSP has been created and opened successfully.

 

This issue is resolved.
